This is the last post in the series of black & white film series shot in Japan.
I've been thinking long and hard about what to name the series, obviously "Ricoh GR1v on Home Turf" isn't a great name, or one which means much to anyone outside the wonderful world of film photography. The title I've come up with is "Japan: beyond the colours"
The one common theme in this series is a vision of Japan, its people and their daily routines, without the the colourful façade which is often a point of reference and source of intrigue for the outside world. In this series I hope to portray a fragment of the feelings and emotions which drives the people of this country during their everyday lives.

I like this set very much!
ReplyDeleteHow do you mainly shoot with the GR1v? Mainly from the hip?
Hi JJ.
DeleteThanks.
I usually compose from viewfinder or sometimes crouch to shoot. But a couple of shots in this post were from the hip... Can you guess which ones?
