Nikon FM3A - Fujifilm Neopan 1600 (17/04/2012)

Some new shots added to the Neopan 1600 gallery taken with the FM3A + Nikkor 1.2 or E series 35mm f2.5 or E series 28mm f2.8...
Sorry for the crappy scan quality... The bloke who processed and scanned them seemed to use his mobile phone camera to scan them in (yes they are that bad).

I will look to rescan the negatives once I buy a scanner that's capable of scanning 35mm film (any suggestions for less the £250?)

Enjoy:

Night Time Street with Flash (15/04/2012)

Hello everyone. I hope you've all kept well over the past week. Apologies for the lack of posts since the 9th. I've had a terrible week due to catching a horrible flu. It's quite honestly the worst flu I've ever had. I'm still not quite rid of it yet. :(

But here are some shots I've been meaning to upload for a while now.

London Street Daily (13/03/2012)

Hey folks...
First post of the week, and I'm going to start with some photos which have been lying around neglected! Mind you there's a good reason for them being neglected!!

GF3 + 14mm f/2.5 on the first photo, 25mm f/1.4 on the second, third and fourth.

Night Time Street with Flash (10/03/2012)

So I went out again on Friday night and shot some more with flash and I'm really starting to enjoy it.
I think it's allowing me to discover a new side to my street work and helping me develop as a photographer.

Here are the shots, taken on the GF3 + 14mm f/2.5 + Onboard flash:

Night Time Street with Flash (09/03/2012)

I went out for a second round of night time street photography with flash, mostly to see how I feel about working with flash. I'm aware that I would achieve better shots with an off camera flash, however this experiment is to see how comfortable I feel about "flashing" people (oh dear, that just sounds wrong) and what their reaction would be like.
I found that most people don't notice or don't realise that I was taking a photo of them and assume that I was snapping something else. I did get the odd glare or "WTF" look here and there but nothing too alarming.

Here are a few of the better shots. Shot with the GF3 and onboard flash + 14mm f/2.5:

London Street Daily (24/02/2012)

It's finally Friday. It's starting to warm up in London with the days getting longer... Great for us street togs.
Here are some colour street shots from last weekend, walking through Petticoat Lane Market and Columbia Road Flower Market.

London Street Daily (20/02/2012)

It's the start of the week and I'm going to start you all off with some colour for a change.
These are some of the shots I grabbed last Friday, on my way home. I took a detour through central London, past Carnaby Street, Covent Garden and Leicester Square.

The first shot was taken on the GF3 + 14mm f/2.5, and the last two on the Summilux 25mm f/1.4:

Dear world,

It's getting dark later now which means more opportunities to shoot for me. After a slow start to 2012 I'm getting back into my groove.
Here are some more shots around London for now.

Night Time Street with Flash (13/02/2012)

Wow... What a weekend...
Greek riots, footballers not shaking hands, Legendary singers being found dead in their hotel rooms...

I went out Friday night and found the following photos on Sunday. In case you were wondering, it took me all of Saturday to recover from my hangover, and I've still not recovered from sleeping badly; my neck hurts every time I move my head.

So yeah, back to the photos. I don't know what happened to the photos on my camera before Friday night. I seemed to have deleted them.
I took these on the GF3 with it's on-board flash! They are highly experimental, I don't think I like this style but it was worth a try.

Bonus shot. Alternative processing using Silver-Efex.

London Street Daily (05/02/2012)

Good morning London...
We have snow! I was out yesterday when the snow started and I tell you, my willingness to stick around and wait for some interesting shot dropped like the snow flakes dropping onto my hair.
Here are a few shots anyway to keep you tied over until the next post.

All shot on the Lumix GF3 + 14mm f/2.5

Paris Day Trip

Guess where I had to go last minute on a Sunday night? Work sent me to Paris for erm, work stuff on Monday. It was freezing cold I could barely take my gloves off.
Managed to grab some shots on my Nikon FM3A and the Nikkor f/1.2 but obviously it'll be a while before I get them developed (providing the x-ray scanners at the Eurostar terminals didn't completely f*ck my film up).
Also managed a few shots on GF3...
Here are the half decent ones:
