London on Film - Agfa Vista Plus 400 (04/02/2014)

It's been a while since I posted some film photos. To be honest, I don't often shoot film any more. The reason is that now that I have a Ricoh GR, I don't really use the Ricoh GR1v...

But anyway, I still have tons of film to process and scan. I've also got loads of decent film photos uploaded and ready to post.

Here are a few shots around London shot on the relatively budget Agfa Vista Plus 400. It's really a great film and I find the colours and grain to be as good as Fuji Superia 400. In fact I prefer the more subdued colours of the Agfa over the slightly over saturated ones of the Fuji. What do you think?

Paris on Film - Fujicolor Superia 400 X-TRA (16/04/2013)

I thoroughly enjoy shooting in Paris. It's a great city with great light, colour, people, architecture and style. It's essentially a street photographers dream city, apart from the draconian laws surrounding photography in public spaces. Luckily those laws have not affected me as of yet, so on I go...

Paris on Film - Fujicolor Superia 400 X-TRA (13/04/2013)

Since I've shot a few rolls of this film in Paris, I think it's fair to dedicate a series to it: "Paris on Film".
No, I couldn't think of a more original title! :(

Les Rues de Paris (22/03/2013)

Last week I made another short trip to Paris to relax, shoot and visit some galleries.
I was lucky enough to see the Joel Meyerowitz Retrospective at the Maison Europeenne de la Photographie, which I highly recommend.

Here are some new shots for my Paris set "Les Rues de Paris", shot on the Olympus OM-D E-M5 with the 12mm and 14mm lenses:

Les Rues de Paris (03/02/2013)

A few more interesting shots from Paris a couple of weekends ago. I've never seen Paris so snowed down. But I loved the fact that everyone made the most of the conditions; playing in the snow, sledging and even skiing.

Les Rues de Paris (30/01/2013)

I'm lucky enough to live in London. It's a great place for street photography and there's always something happening.
But I'm even more lucky to have close family who live in Paris and are happy for me to stay with them every time I visit.

Here are some photos from my visit a couple of weekends ago.

Paris Day Trip

Guess where I had to go last minute on a Sunday night? Work sent me to Paris for erm, work stuff on Monday. It was freezing cold I could barely take my gloves off.
Managed to grab some shots on my Nikon FM3A and the Nikkor f/1.2 but obviously it'll be a while before I get them developed (providing the x-ray scanners at the Eurostar terminals didn't completely f*ck my film up).
Also managed a few shots on GF3...
Here are the half decent ones:
